FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Kirstin Wright Elected to ARTS Board of Directors
Atascadero, CA., May 4, 2009 – Retail Anywhere, a leader
in providing integrated software and services for mid-size
retailers, today announced that Kirstin Wright, Chief Systems
Architect of Retail Anywhere, was elected to the board of
directors for the Association for Retail Technology Standards
(ARTS).
The ARTS Board of Directors identifies
standards to be developed, sets program priorities, approves new
and revised standards prior to public release and maintains
budgetary oversight for the Association for Retail Technology
Standards, the retail technology standards division of the
National Retail Federation.
A long time member of ARTS, Retail Anywhere
adopted the ARTS Data Model in 2005 as a base for application
development for its new point of sale and other in-store
applications. Since 2005 Kirstin has volunteered her time and
efforts to the Data Model Committee, most recently serving as
committee Chair.
“Kirstin has successfully lead the Data
Model committee in development of the first Data Warehouse
Model, release 6.0 of the operational Data Model and a total
rewrite of the Data Dictionary,” said Richard Mader, Executive
Director of ARTS. “A special exception was granted by the board
allowing her to serve a 3rd year as Chair of the Data Model
committee to complete several ongoing projects. We are
delighted she was elected to the board to ensure ARTS can
benefit from her guidance in other areas.”
